Coco Ichibanya Curry House @ 1 Utama

Ever since I've tried Coco Curry House's curry back in 2010 in Japan for the very first time, I have always been craving for it since then.

The first thing that made me so into it is because there's different level of spiciness you can choose from. And also for the small-eater, you can choose to take lesser rice and save some money. :P

You can also order set menu for the curry with an extra of RM9, and get ice-cream, soup and a mini salad as well!

I tried level 7 back in Japan, and it's super spicy I couldn't finish it.
So when it finally decide to have their branch here in Malaysia, i told myself i MUST challenge the spiciest one.

Thanks to The Butterfly Project and Coco Ichibanya, I get to try all 5 level of curry and their signature dishes at 1 Utama.

The Malaysia Coco Ichibanya have a total of 5 different levels of curry to choose from.

And like those ramen shops in Japan, you can choose to add on different topping ranging from RM3 to RM33 depending on your own preference!

Time for some salad before the main dish,
Smoked Salmon Salad - RM 10
with Goma (sesame) sauce.

Bacon and Pumpkin salad - RM 8
With Goma(sesame sauce) and Shoyu (soy sauce)

I love this salad more compare to the salmon one, I think because the salmon wasn't that fresh already, so it was so so. But this bacon and pumpkin go so well with each other, and the pumpkin is super sweet as well! For a not so vege fan like me, I think the bacon pumpkin salad is the best choice.

Ok, enough of the appetizer.
Here comes the main dish for the day!

Beef Yakiniku Curry at Original Level. (RM23)
This was ok, cause the taste of yakiniku is already quite strong, so taste of the curry is very mild.
It's suitable for people that doesn't want a strong curry taste.

Pork Cutlet Omelette Curry Level 1. (RM26)
Omelette and pork cutlet already goes well with each other, and with curry?
Yum! ;)
Not a fan of oily and fried stuff but this pork cutlet is not oily at all. Very well fried!

Wagyu Beef Curry Level 2. (RM48)
Look at the meat shining!
The Wagyu Beef is super good as well! The tenderness is just right. Perfectly cooked.
Eventhough the meat does come out smaller than what it looked like in the menu, but it is still worth the price for this size of a Wagyu beef.

Creamed Mushroom Curry Level 3. (RM23)
Calling all mushroom lover! This is the perfect dish for you.
With the cream, the spiciness of the curry goes down, so it's not as spicy.
And it's very filling as well cause of the cream.

Grill Squid with Mayonnaise Curry Level 4 (RM24)
Look so yummy right?? *wipe saliva*
My personal favourite will be the Grill Squid, the squid surprisingly goes well with the mayonnaise, and with a little bit of spiciness from the curry, it's the perfect match!! *cue heaven song*
Definitely going back for this squid again soon!!!

A small reminder : Make sure to eat the curry HOT!! It taste better when it's hot!

Last but not least, some ice cream to cool of our tongue!
Matcha Ice Cream(RM6), Vanilla Ice Cream(RM6)

This is my second time eating here,
and they say third time's the charm!
Can't wait for my next visit!

Oh I forgot to mention,
They have their second branch at Penang's Queensbay Mall as well!
Penangite go challenge yourself now!
