Busan 5 days 4 nights itinerary + extra tips for free meal!

Hello again!
I'm finally going to share my itinerary for my Busan trip!
My total expenses for the whole trip was only less than RM1500, which includes air ticket, accommodation, transport, food and all attraction.

Air ticket
I can't really remember the price of the ticket but it was around 700 including baggage, insurance, seat and meal. The ticket was bought a year before the departure date, and it was during Airasia promotion as well. I'm not sure if that's considered as cheap or not, you might be able to find even cheaper air ticket if you're hardworking enough to search for it!

We booked a home stay via Airbnb which was around RM325 per person for 4 nights.
We stayed with an old couple where their place was at the top of the hill. I'm not gonna complain the walk up the damn hill. But yeah, Jihee's parents was a really great host, her dad even sent us to the airport for free!! With their limited English and our limited Korean, we managed to communicate(somehow) and they will give us suggestion on places to go as well. It's a shame I didn't get to meet JiHee, but whenever there's problem we would just text her about it and she would help us solve our problem!
You can check out the place here. Sign up here to have your first airbnb stay too!

Hopefully I have the time to write separate post for every place soon. HOPEFULLY. But this is just the rough itinerary that we followed. We did a lot of shopping and cafe hopping along the way that wasn't mentioned here.
Our main transport is using the subway, where we mainly used T-Money card(continue reading to know where i got it), but we did bought the One Day Pass for one day cause it's much worth it. Since their one day pass is only 4,500 won per day, it would be cheaper to buy it if you're going on the train for more than 4 times!

Day 1
By time we arrived at our place and settled down it was already 11am, we head out after refreshing.
Oryukdo Skywalk
Lotte Casino
Lotte Department Store

Day 2

Day 3
HaeDong Yonggungsa

Day 4

Extra Note
1. Korea Tourism Organization Malaysia does provide vouchers for everyone that will be going to Korea, all you need to do is sign up as a member on their website, fill in a survey, then bring along your passport, air ticket itinerary and the survey number to Menara Hap Seng to collect the vouchers! The voucher includes discounts for food, attractions and transportation too! It includes a T-Money Card that has some money inside as well!
*edit: for 2017 you can visit HERE for the vouchers.

2. If you are planning to visit the Seven Luck Casino either in Busan or Seoul, you can also register at their website and have free chips to use in the casino! It's nonrefundable credits, so you will have to use it, but if you win then it's yours of course. We managed to win 60,000 won in the casino! Basically free dinner for the day!

3. Always head to the underground shopping street! I'm super amazed at their underground system (ok la not really amazed cause Japan one is much more better *biased lvl 9000*). Seriously, most of the cloths shop are a lot cheaper underground. There's quite a few 10,000won (around RM35) apparel shop, and it's not like those Sg.Wang type of clothings! Super Korean fashion!

That's it for this post! Stay tuned for more update! ;)

  1. Whoa! good tips! I also will do that to save my cost.

  2. Thanks for all the tips! I didn't know about the vouchers! I'm planning to go there in the future, so knowing i can cut costs = more items to buy!
